# Our Validation & Traction

We did not guess what students needed, we asked them directly. Before building anything, we conducted a comprehensive survey of over 100 students at AKSU (and we are still counting). The results confirmed a massive demand for a localized, cheaper, and faster alternative to current options.

#### <mark style="color:$tint;">Key Survey Findings</mark>

* **85%** of students rate current campus internet as "poor" or "very poor".
* **66.7%** experience bad internet **every single day**.
* **91.7%** are willing to pay for fast, reliable WiFi.
* **83.3%** would switch immediately to a better solution.
* **66.7%** currently spend over ₦5,000 per month on data with poor results.

#### <mark style="color:$tint;">Waitlist</mark>

Following the survey, we opened a waitlist to gauge real intent to purchase. The response was overwhelming: **hundreds of students** joined the waitlist almost immediately, and the number continues to grow toward **thousands**. These students have explicitly stated they will subscribe as soon as Shard Network goes live.

This is not an assumption, it is **proven, documented demand**. Students are waiting for us to launch.
